Using WS SiteBuilder 3.0 For GDI

By Jamie Boyle

When people join GDI they have the choice of building their own Website using WS SiteBuilder 3.0 which makes it easy for anyone to build their own website from scratch. The good thing with WS SiteBuilder 3.0 is that you don't need to know any html code in order to build your site. WS SiteBuilder is a Website Design Interface that allows you to build your site within minutes. Definitely a great feature which saves people time and money from having to get someone to build your website for you. Now people can do that themselves with this great tool that GDI has provided for all their customers and members of Global Domains International Business Opportunity.

I know some people have had some problems using WS SiteBuilder sometimes and I just wanted to clear some things up. The most common problem I hear is that your content in not saving when you submit it. You then get a error message stating you've exceeded the 4000 character limit in which you can see in the picture below.

The thing with this is that they have a restriction on how much you can be put in a content block. Your only allowed so many characters allowed in each content block. The thing is your allowed as many content blocks as you want on WS SiteBuilder so you will just need to add another content block and seperate the information. By adding another content block all it will do is basically have a page break or space between content almost like a space between paragraphs.

Another problem I hear is when this error comes up on SiteBuilder about you've exceeded the 4000 character limit, when you go back you lose the information that you had there. Trust me I know you've just spent hours customizing and fixing it to your liking and then it's all gone. I've had this happen to me when building my websites with WS SiteBuilder 3.0 too and yes it's very frustrating and to be honest I don't really know why that happens. But with every situation that people face or problems people learn so it doesn't happen again.

Here is a tip I'm gonna share with you with this. Now since there is no counter to let you know how many characters you've used why not write your content with either Microsoft Word or even Notepad. When you do this make sure you save it often just in case of power outages or anything that may cause you to lose your data. Save it often! Then once you think your done then log into Website.ws and copy your content from Microsoft Word or Notepad and paste it into your WS SiteBuilder content block. Then when you go and submit your data at least you know if that error comes up you still have your backup to fall back to with all your information saved. This is something I do all the time. The way I see it is better be safe then sorry.

If people do have questions about WS SiteBuilder please feel free to comment here or you can always look under "Help" in SiteBuilder for more information on how to use it. Ws SiteBuilder 3.0 is definitely a great tool and that you can design your website and have it published within minutes online for everyone too see. You can build your own site promoting GDI or any other business opportunity in fact or simply just use it for the cheap domain, hosting and email for $10 a month. WS SiteBuilder is definitely a great feature for GDI members so they can make their own website as they choose.
